I’m really sitting down for the first time all day. It’s been a busy one, but I’m blessed by the busy-ness. I had another wonderful opportunity to photograph a beautiful family, was blessed to pray for a friend who had lost a dear pet, and spent an afternoon of wonderful conversation with two sweet ladies while trying to raise money for Lottie Moon this year.
Isaiah 42:1, 5-6
Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold
My chosen one in whom My soul delights.
I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the nations.
Thus says God the LORD,
Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread out the earth and its offspring,
Who gives breath to the people on it
And spirit to those who walk in it,
“I am the LORD, I have called You in righteousness,
I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You,
And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people,
As a light to the nations. (NASB)
What an awesome prophecy of the coming Christ! Now we are to be a light to the nations. I feel at fail at that so often. My selfish human nature convinces me that I’ll fail or that no one would listen or pay attention to me.
*Father, renew my strength and courage to be Your light in a dark world! I can do NOTHING in my own power, but I can do ALL THINGS in Yours!*
I think Glorfy is missing Santa a little. I guess being away from home all day does make one homesick. This is how we found him this morning.
