The birth of John the Baptist was an enormous event! He was the fulfillment of the prophecy of the messenger. I’m sure it only made the longing for the Messiah stronger, especially for those who recognized it!
Think about that for a moment. Join me in putting yourself in their shoes. I don’t know about you, but my heart is racing with the excitement! Echos of “He’s coming! He’s coming!” ring in my imagination.
Do you ever find yourself, today, chanting “He’s coming!” with the same excitement, or do you fear it? I must admit, I’ve experienced both. I’m young and know there is much more life to live. I want to see my children grow into adults. So, yes there are days that I find myself holding onto those things. But then, I remember the promises of how wonderful it will be when Christ returns for His bride!
**The kiddos are out of town for the rest of the week…I’m curious to see what Glorfindel will think of that.
