A little late getting this posted today, but the life of a homeschooling mom can be crazy sometimes. This week is standardized testing for our homeschool group…that mixed with some severe weather this morning…well let’s just say, I just woke up from a much needed nap. 😉
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins!
But he was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
Yet the Lord laid on him
the sins of us all.
Isaiah 53:4-6 NLT
Those were my nails
That was my crown
That pierced Your hands and your brow
Those were my thorns
Those were my scorns
Those were my tears that fell down
And just as You said it would be
You did it all for me
After You counted the cost
You took my shame, my blame
On my cross
But it’s the time in between
The middle of two thieves
That says everything
It’s the reason I believe
I’m amazed, so amazed
And I thank you for the time in between
Oh Lord, I thank you for the time in between
Before the last video, I want to challenge you to use it as a jumping off point for meditation and prayer. This very holy week, meditate upon what Christ has done for us. Meditate on the outcome. Rejoice in knowing that with Christ as our Savior, the battle is already won!
I’d love to hear how any of these songs speak to you. Don’t be shy, leave me a comment.
