Wednesday Worship #6

This week I’ve been thinking about our choices.  So many times in my life I’ve heard people say they can’t change because that’s how they were raised.  Hearing this boggles my mind.  It’s as if they were never given a choice.

“My parents smoked, so I must smoke.   My entire family is prejudiced, so I must be prejudiced.”  Really?!?!  Seriously?!?!

Guess what…we ALL are given a choice.  Many choices actually, probably hundreds per day!  I choose whether or not to lose it when my 4 year old makes a huge mess.

But the BEST choice we are given is whether we follow Christ or not!  Oh, and I hope that you make the right choice here!  It is your choice, but only ONE leads to eternal life.  Oh, I pray you choose Christ!

God is calling out to you again
Let Him pull you, let Him take you in
From the fear that swallows up for your life
Will you stay the same or will you fight?

You decide
(Who will you run to)
Wrong or right
(There is no reason)
For you to hide
Only love can change your life
Only love can change your life

But what if you’re wrong?
What if there’s more?
What if there’s hope you never dreamed of hoping for?
What if you jump?
And just close your eyes?
What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise?
What if He’s more than enough?
What if it’s love?

“What Have You Got To Lose?”

Sin and shame
Guilt and pain
Pride and your conceit
Here and now
Lay them down
At the Savior’s feetWhat have you got to lose
What have you got to lose
And tell me why you’re so afraid
What have you got to lose
What have you got to lose
Think of all you have to gainHope and dreams
And all the things
That you have ever made
It don’t mean much
If in the end
You have lost your wayLet go of all you know
Only then can life be found
Surrender all you hold
Lay it down, lay it down, lay it down
**Father, I pray that we will give You ultimate authority over our lives and our choices.  I pray that You alone will direct our minutes, hours, and days…every choice that we make will be directed by You!  Thank You for being a Wonderful, Personal, Loving Father!  Amen**
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” 1 John 1:9
“For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” Romans 10:10
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Be Blessed!
