Christmas Worship – Days 2 & 1

Well, since I wasn’t near my computer at all yesterday, I’m going to combine the last two days…loving called Christmas Adam and Christmas Eve in our home.  😉

“But it’s more than a fable, and it’s more than a fairy tale. And more than my mind can conceive.”

And a classic I love…it makes me my heart smile!

Enjoy & be blessed!

“They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in the manger. After seeing him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child. All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished, but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often. The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them.” Luke 2:16-20NLT

And a happy extra for good measure.

Christmas Worship – 3 Days

I must say that this is my all-time favorite Christmas carol!   And although Pentatonix has a great new rendition, Point of Grace’s version will forever leave me in awe.

“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.”  Galatians 4:4-5

Enjoy and be blessed!

Christmas Worship – 4 Days

I wanted to share with you a few of my Christmas favorites over these last few days leading up until Christmas Day.

I pray you are blessed by them.

How would it be if we all had a heart like Mary?  Young, devoted, terrified, willing.

That’s why I fell in love with the following song and it’s message.

“I am not brave
I’ll never be
The only thing my heart can offer is a vacancy
I’m just a girl
Nothing more
But I am willing, I am Yours”

“In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to the Galilean village of Nazareth to a virgin engaged to be married to a man descended from David. His name was Joseph, and the virgin’s name, Mary. Upon entering, Gabriel greeted her:

Good morning!
You’re beautiful with God’s beauty,
Beautiful inside and out!
God be with you.

She was thoroughly shaken, wondering what was behind a greeting like that. But the angel assured her, “Mary, you have nothing to fear. God has a surprise for you: You will become pregnant and give birth to a son and call his name Jesus.

He will be great,
be called ‘Son of the Highest.’
The Lord God will give him
the throne of his father David;
He will rule Jacob’s house forever—
no end, ever, to his kingdom.”

Mary said to the angel, “But how? I’ve never slept with a man.”

The angel answered,

The Holy Spirit will come upon you,
the power of the Highest hover over you;
Therefore, the child you bring to birth
will be called Holy, Son of God.

“And did you know that your cousin Elizabeth conceived a son, old as she is? Everyone called her barren, and here she is six months pregnant! Nothing, you see, is impossible with God.”

And Mary said,

Yes, I see it all now:
I’m the Lord’s maid, ready to serve.
Let it be with me
just as you say.

Then the angel left her.”

Luke 1:26-38 (The Message)

Be blessed!

Wednesday Worship #12

“Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe”  Hebrews 12:28 (ESV)

Join me in a few minutes of reverent reflection on Christ’s love for us!

Wednesday Worship #11

This week I want to share with you something I love!  Hymns.  I’m so thrilled that a trend in modern worship seems to be updating fantastic old hymns to reintroduce them to a younger generation!  I’m totally on board with that!  (Of course this girl still also enjoys singing the occasional 4-part shaped note harmonies.)

“All the earth worships you
and sings praises to you;
they sing praises to your name.  Selah”

Psalms 66:4 (ESV)

Enjoy!

Be blessed!

Wednesday Worship #10

“The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 ESV

What wonderfully encouraging words!!!  God is WITH us!  He will SAVE us!  He REJOICES over us!  He will COMFORT us because He loves us!  He REJOICES over us with LOUD SINGING!!  Wow, wow, wow!  How can that not make you smile from ear to ear?!?!

So, let’s return the love to Him with a little “loud” singing today!  Crank up your speakers and let’s rock out!

And, a little classic LOUD! (Headbanging required!)

Be blessed!

Wednesday Worship #9

I must honestly admit that I haven’t been a very worship-filled mood today.  But, that’s just part of being human.  Luckily, God can still speak to my soul…even when I’m not the most chipper person you encounter.  That’s just one more of the millions of things that is so AWESOME about our Heavenly Father!  He loves us when we are un-lovable!

I’m feeling it’s an FFH kind of day today!
